Automatically or manually switch one of two HDMI inputs to an HDMI output with the Kramer VS-211X, a 2x1 HDMI autoswitch with support for HDR signals up to 4K @ 60Hz (4: 4: 4). Provides options for automatic switching based on priority or last connected source. To ensure plug-and-play operation with HDMI sources and display, the VS-211X uses Kramer's I-EDIDPro algorithm, which performs EDID management, processing, locking and pass-through functions.
This auto switch is compatible with HDMI 2.0 and HDCP 2.2, also supports 32 channels of uncompressed digital audio to enable high quality surround sound. There is also a 3.5mm stereo analog audio output that outputs a de-embedded audio signal in parallel with the HDMI output. The compact and durable DigiTOOLS aluminum enclosure features LED indicators for active output and power status and uses convection cooling to prevent fan noise. It also provides a barrel input for powering from a 5 VDC source.
Plug-and-play automatic switch
The VS-211X automatically reproduces the signal of the switched source on the connected display according to user-configured preferences, such as priority or last connected input. When the user switches manually, by pressing a button, the automatic switching is ignored.
Switching the HDMI signal
The switcher is HDCP 2.2 compliant and supports Deep Color, xvColor, CEC, lip sync, uncompressed HDMI audio channels, Dolby TrueHD, DTS-HD, 2K, 4K and 3D as specified in HDMI 2.0.
Multi-channel audio switching
The VS-211X handles up to 32 channels of uncompressed digital stereo signals to support studio surround sound.
Intelligent EDID processing by I-EDIDPro Kramer
Intelligent EDID management, processing, blocking and pass-through algorithm ensures plug-and-play operation for HDMI source and display systems.
Audio de-embedding
The digital audio signal passing through the HDMI output is removed and converted to an analog signal and sent to the 3.5mm stereo unbalanced analog audio output. This allows you to play audio on locally connected speakers, in parallel to playing it on speakers connected to the AV acceptor device (such as TVs with speakers).
Simple switching operation
Use local pushbuttons or remotely connected contact closure pushbuttons (via the 3-pin terminal block) for flexible user input selection and switching control.
Convenient maintenance
LED status indicators for HDMI ports facilitate local maintenance and troubleshooting. Local firmware update ensures a long-lasting and field-proven implementation.
Easy installation
The compact DigiTOOLS fanless enclosure allows user-reachable table mounting or side-by-side mounting of three units in a 1 RU rack space with an optional rack adapter.
