Laowa 9mm f/5.6 L-Mount Rectilinear Lens (Black), FF, Manual Focus - LWA9RLFF56LET
Designed for full-frame cameras, the Laowa 9mm f/5.6 FF RL is currently the world's widest rectilinear lens.
Its extraordinary 135° angle of view allows you to easily capture landscapes and create previously impossible shots.
The lens includes two aspherical elements and two extra-low dispersion elements to minimize chromatic aberrations and distortion.
Despite its unique perspective, the lens is extremely compact (6 cm long) and weighs only 350 g.
It also features an extremely short minimum focusing distance of 12 cm (from subject to sensor), allowing photographers to create mini macro shots with an ultra-wide-angle perspective.
- The widest rectilinear lens for full-frame sensors
- 135° angle of view
- Minimum focusing distance of just 12 cm
- 5-blade diaphragm - sunstar effect on point lights
- Dedicated filter holder
Extraordinary angle of view: 135°
Featuring an extraordinary 135° angle of view, the new Laowa 9mm f/5.6 is currently the widest non-fisheye lens ever developed for full-frame mirrorless cameras.
This ultra-wide angle of view is particularly useful for interiors, as it helps emphasize the feeling of space.
This unique perspective also enables many shots that were previously impossible.
Extremely short minimum focusing distance
In addition to its ultra-wide angle perspective, the new Laowa 9mm lens can focus at extremely close distances, almost like a macro lens.
The minimum focusing distance is just 12 cm, measured from the subject to the sensor.
This is much closer than other ultra-wide-angle lenses on the market, offering photographers greater flexibility in composing images at any distance, creating wide-angle close-ups, and controlling depth of field.
Sunstar effect on point lights
The 5-blade diaphragm system produces a pleasing "sunstar" effect.
Stop down by 1 stop to create perfect, bright 10-pointed stars.
An enhanced sense of space
Thanks to its impressive 135° angle of view, the lens creates a strong sense of space by emphasizing the relative size of foreground objects.
This lens is extremely useful for interior photography.
100mm Filter Holder
Despite the ultra-wide angle of view, Venus Optics, working with its partners, has carefully designed a filter holder that allows the use of 100mm wide filters without noticeable vignetting.
