EBC stands for Electron Beam Coating, a process that applies multiple thin, uniform optical coatings to glass.
Lenses coated with Super EBC help reduce flare and ghosting while delivering brilliant colors and sharper details.
Shaped aperture diaphragm
Rather than simply cutting the seven blades that make up the lens diaphragm, each one is carefully rounded at the edges.
As a result, images are sharper, and when shooting at the maximum aperture of F2, the resulting bokeh (out-of-focus areas) is smoother.
